# [Xdoc](/en/experts/xdoc) - AI Documentation

> Draft, rewrite, summarize, and format long documents that are reviewable or sendable.

## What is Xdoc?

Xdoc is [Wery](/en/experts/wery)'s document expert, responsible for organizing materials into documents suitable for reading, review, sending and precipitation. The default works best for Markdown reports, but can also generate Word, PDF or editable documents when explicitly requested.

## Entry and output formats

The document task must first clarify "who is the reader" and "what is the final format".

1. Lock Xdoc, or describe "Write Report/Documentation/Summary/Rewrite" to let Wery route it.
2. Upload source materials: web pages, PDF, Word, Markdown, meeting minutes, research results, tables or drafts.
3. Description output: Markdown, Word, PDF, email, PRD, report, manual or long story-based text.
4. Describe audience, tone, word count, structure, and whether sources need to be cited.
5. After generation, open the document panel in Workspace and continue to rewrite, supplement or export.

## What Xdoc can do

The core of Xdoc is to turn information into documents with stable structure and reliable language.

- Drafting: reports, PRDs, instructions, emails, announcements, FAQs, reviews, blogs.
- Summary: meeting minutes, research materials, web pages, long articles, and multiple documents.
- Rewrite: More formal, shorter, clearer, more sales-oriented, more appropriate for a certain audience.
- Structured: Title hierarchy, table of contents, summary, action items, risks, conclusions, and appendices.
- Formatting: Markdown, Word style, PDF deliverable or reproducible text.
- Storytelling: organize scattered facts into documents with a more narrative and reading rhythm.

## Data and source processing

Documentation is not written in a vacuum. The more formal the output, the more important it is to explain the source of the data and the boundaries of credibility.

- User uploaded files are the first priority source.
- Public web pages or real-time data should be retrieved/read first and then entered into writing.
- For multi-file tasks, explain the purpose of each file to avoid confusing sources.
- Real data, legal, medical, financial and other high-risk content must be marked with uncertainty.
- If you need to quote, keep the source URL or file name, do not just write "according to information".

## Review and revision process

The first version of Xdoc should be considered a draft, with subsequent revisions considered the production version.

- The first round: first check whether the structure is correct and whether the conclusion is clear.
- The second round: change the tone, delete redundancies, add evidence, and adjust chapters.
- Round 3: Check facts, formatting, header hierarchy, and sendability.
- Need a demo version: hand it to [PPTea](/en/experts/pptea); need a data page: hand it to [Cella](/en/experts/cella); need a visual cover: hand it to [Zeny](/en/experts/zeny).

## FAQ

### Q: Does Xdoc generate Word by default?

Not necessarily. Default is better for Markdown or human-readable documents; be explicit when Word/PDF is required.

Yes, but the role of each file should be stated, such as master data, reference material, style reference, or attachment.

Only when the task requires public sources or real-time information should be searched first; ordinary rewrites give priority to user materials.

### Q: Can I write a very long document?

### Q: Can documents be converted to PPT?

You can leave it to PPTea to compress the document into a presentation structure.
